Cast Section

Miriam Bell as Natalie

Natalie is the seemingly innocent host of a late-night radio broadcast. None of her late-night listeners would ever suspect that behind her energetic persona lies a guilt-ridden woman harboring a dark secret. During a live broadcast of her show, Natalie receives a call live on air, threatening to reveal the truth to the world, causing Natalie to descend into a hell of her own making. We follow Natalie’s perspective, sensing her fear as she does; however as the film progresses, Natalie is no longer the victim, but instead the perpetrator behind a homicidal act.

Adam Hodgson as The Caller

The mysterious caller, speaking in seemingly nonsensical rhyme with a deep raspy voice. Hardly seen, the Caller hides in the shadows with a vast amount of knowledge of Natalie’s past. The Caller has a connection to Natalie, initially unknown to her until the pieces start connecting. The Caller acts as the initial antagonist for the film, however his true role is to bring to light Natalie’s past actions. The Caller is a phantom of Natalie’s past, resurrecting itself by using the radio transmissions.

Working at the center of production, Liv managed to work with each of the other members of the crew to help showcase her intended visions for the film. As well as Directing duties, Liv was also in charge of creating the practical effects within the film, dressing our actors in prosthetics, and creating a crimson display of horror used frequently within the film.

Adam provided a very thoughtful screenplay, shaping the sequences of events that were examined closely by the rest of the team into the final production draft that made it to screen. Working closely with the Director, both Adam and Liv collaborated frequently during production on what was best for the narrative.

Jacob Irving - Producer/Sound

During pre-production, the role of the producer was to hire out the resources needed for the filming, from the Location to the Equipment. Scheduling and Organisation between the crew were a must to ensure the availability of the cast and crew as well as ensure that the production was going well. During shooting, Jacob also took on additional roles, becoming the main sound recordist for the film, and recording most of the audio for the final film.

Rose Frangou - Editor

As principal photography began, so did the editing process. Rose worked tirelessly editing our daily rushes together. Often informing the rest of the crew on any issues she had found within the edit, requesting additional shots and reshoots whenever it was necessary. Rose also aquirred and edited the soundtrack for the final film to have it fit with the chosen aesthetic of the production.

Fran Mills - Camera

With the help of Jacob hiring out the equipment, Fran took the job of operating the camera. Ensuring that the shots were captured perfectly as well as adjusting the volume of lighting in order for it to suit the crimson display that our director, Liv was determined to upkeep and Rose to be able to work well with them in the editing process.
